Elizabeth first discovered Permaculture in 2008 when having a personal crisis in meaning after a lifetime of computer programming. A good friend introduced her to the concepts and she later attended her first Introduction to Permaculture seminar in Boulder, CO. She was instantly hooked.
She received a Permaculture Design Certification and Teacher’s Certificate from High Altitude Permaculture in 2009 and 2010. She also received a PDC from Toby Hemenway in 2011 in his inaugural Denver course.
She was inspired by the annual Colorado Permaculture Convergence gatherings to take part in the creation of a state-wide Permaculture Guild and has since been nominated its President and Chief of Connections. Her goal is to use her computer skills to provide a central calendar, newsletters and repository of resources for the far-flung and diverse Colorado Permaculture community. There are many small Permaculture projects going on around the state and not all of them know about each other. She has created a mailing list and has been on the committee who put together the last three Convergences and hopes this year’s will be the best yet.
